This one takes some explaining. Our editorial director, Richard Banks, had a vision for this trip from the beginning, and to this day he describes it as "life-changing." His writing (some 20,000 words, I believe) is some of the best I've read on the topic of learning from other cultures. I was happy to be along taking pictures, shooting video and learning.
