Fire Man (PDF download)
A story I wrote, shot and designed. I had a blast with this story. The original pre-edit version was a lot more fun and detailed; just no room in the magazine for it. The PDF is lo-res; you can download a hi-res version of the lead photo here.

This story won an award in the Personality Profile category from one of my professional organizations. I also shot the photos.
A Garden For The Grandkids (lo-res PDF download)
Wrote it, shot it and did the layout. This story earned me a Master Writer award from one of my professional organizations. The PDF is lo-res; you can download a hi-res version of the lead photo here.
Tomatoes Out of Time

Business Alabama
In the summer of 2005 I redesigned and restructured this magazine for PMT Publishing in Birmingham. The project was vast and included a new logo, new departments for the magazine and a design overhaul, but you can get an idea of the facelift with the cover comparison in the link above. I'm fairly new to still photography, though I did shoot some broadcast and a student film in college. The most experience I've had is through our Best Places To Live In Rural America special issue, for which I travel, shoot and write. This is the cover photo I shot in Pennsylvania from the February 2007 issue.

Books-A-Million
I've done several projects over the last few years for BAM, including catalogs, posters, sales material and original photography. Here are some samples:
Bookpage: A sampling of covers I designed for BAM's promotional in-store magazine.
What We're Reading Now (PDF download): Some sample pages from BAM's yearly catalog, which I designed. This is a very rough copy (with no prices, no hi-res logo image and some other missing info), but the cover concept and book design are mine and that's what I wanted to exhibit here.
Book Vouchers: I did several of these pre-purchase tickets, but for this is one that I wrote the ad copy and designed it.
Annual Report: I show this here because I shot one of the cover images (the book with glasses) and designed this black-and-white annual report.
